The Feast of Tabernacles is one of the seven God-ordained Festivals (Leviticus 23) depicting God’s master plan for the redemption of mankind. Observed by Christ (John 7:1-39), the apostles—including Paul (Acts 18:21) — even the Gentile New Testament Church in Colossae [who were being criticized by unbelievers for observing it] (Col. 2:16); it is one of those mentioned in prophecy to be enforced by Yahshua (Jesus) when He comes back to rule this earth (Zech. 14:16-19).
God’s plan for the salvation of mankind involves a worldwide restoration (Acts 3:19-21) and healing (Isa. 35:5-6). Human beings will at last be restored to a right relationship with each other and with God (Isa. 2:4; 11:9-10). This will include the physical transformation of this earth (Isa.35:6-7) and changes even in the nature of all wild creatures (Isa. 11:7-9). These will characterize the start of the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth (Dan. 2:44; 7:14, 18, 22, 27).
The seven-day Feast of Tabernacles (Lev. 23:27, 34) pictures that 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth—a period often called the Millennium (Rev. 20:4,6). This Feast also pictures the fulfillment of that “rest” symbolized by the weekly Sabbath (Heb.4:1-11) which points to that great harvest of humanity when all living people on earth will then learn and live by God’s ways in worldwide peace and prosperity (Isa. 11:6-8; Mic. 4:1-7). The Elect who will be appointed as Kings and Priests will help administer God’s rule on earth (Rev. 5:10).
Other scriptural teachings on this subject of God’s great plan for the salvation of mankind (depicted also by the Eighth Day or Last Great Day Festival) and establishment of God’s rule on earth will be expounded in the messages during this Festival. We invite you to attend and listen to God’s message of hope. You’ll be glad you did!
